The Illinois State Coonhunters Association was developed in 1971, with the
first meeting held at Kenney, Illinois. This first meeting was to unite all
coon hunting sportsmen on a statewide basis so as to be able to protect and
preserve this sport for future generations to enjoy.
The Association is run by a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer,
and a Board of sixteen directors with two being from each of the eight zones
within the State of Illinois.
Each year the Association inducts a person or persons who have provided
exceptional guidance and support to the Association for many years.
